1. Music. Jason plays the guitar and Lisa plays the piano. We hope to teach our children both! Caleb and Brock have begun piano and we bought Marc a guitar for his birthday.
2. Spanish. We are currently learning Spanish as a family. Slow but steady!
3. ELL classes (English Language Learners). Once a week we teach other people, mostly refugees, the English language. Even our children get to interact.
4. Bible Studies. We see the Word of God and the encouragement of our church body as a very important aspect to our lives. We love to be involved in as many as we can!
5. Schooling. Right now our children attend a magnet public school. It specializes in the arts and they are benefited with the additional art and piano keyboarding classes. Public, private, or homeschool is always the debate. Jason both attended and taught in a private Christian school and Lisa had a combination of Public and Homeschooling. We view each with their individual strengths and weaknesses. We plan on taking one year at a time by evaluating the needs of each individual at the beginning of each school year. We will take into account all social, family, scholastic and individual needs.
